Colorful Art Gifts - Color Bakery
Having grown up in New England,
I can picture the purple house where Glen Sommers and Mindy Sommers live and work, nestled in a small Vermont town full of white clapboard buildings. Mindy is the artist and Glen is the baker, but it is not cakes and cookies they produce. Their collection of fine, custom-made art gifts and home decor accessories is rather formidable.
Mindy, who works in an impressionist style, creates computer-generated original paintings, including twenty-seven award-winning stock images, sixty geometric patterns, more than one hundred custom photography images, and countless abstract, dreamscape designs. Custom work and one-of-a-kind images are encouraged.
Glen bakes the intensely colorful artwork onto tiles, wall murals, backsplashes, borders, candle sconces, key hooks, mirrors, keepsake boxes, coffee mugs, shoulder bags, jewelry, decorative plates, wrought iron and wooden shelves, coffee tables, switch plates, place mats, napkin holders, trivets, frames and clocks. (Whew!)
Wooden keepsake boxes, perfect for jewelry and other treasures, are available in cherry, maple and mahogany. The hinged, fully lined box (7" x 7" x 2.5") holds a 4.25-inch matte custom ceramic art tile of your choice on the lid.
The 11-ounce coffee mugs, bathed in color that almost explodes off the white porcelain, are microwave safe and look beautiful when several designs are displayed together. Satin-matte-finish ceramic tiles are available in 4.25" inch and 6" inch squares, and a stunning 12" inch glass tile that shows depth in the design is also available in intense colors and designs.
An intriguing 8 by 12 inch shoulderbag uses a unique snap-on-snap-off flap system that allows the owner to change the look of the bag. Each purse comes with three interchangeable flaps.
I suggest you make plenty of time to study the products from Color Bakery - the number of designs and products can be daunting! But with just a little effort, you can create a beautiful garden of products in your store.
